This is my longest song I've ever recorded. It's about a few things, mostly about the rebirth that occurs during spring for many things mixed with the feelings that humans get of rebirth when spring arrives. It's also about the feeling of rebirth that someone can experience when they see a loved one that they haven't seen in awhile and so on and so forth.
lyrics
As I walked through the woods, I pretended to be a giant.
Stay close to your lips, hold me close to your hips.
I heard you shake, I saw you shake, I felt you shake like a tremolo.
As I walked through the woods, I pretended to be mighty.
Stay close to your lips, keep me close to your hips.
I heard you shake, I saw you shake, I felt you shake like a tremolo.
The leaves were frozen in the ground but the sun was still so warm on my back, that’s how it always feels when I’m with you.
And the river held the rocks closer than ever. I felt an ocean when we touched . I felt you tremble like a tremolo. Rocks against bones, bones into rocks.
And even the geese became my friends. The trees were gifts from giants and the rivers moved slowly following the moon. They were best friends too. Rocks against bones, bones into rocks.
You were my kindling as the sun dried the water from the rocks. The pine needles chased me to the edge of the trail. They swept me towards the hills, they swept me towards the sun. Rocks against bones, bones into rocks and rocks into dust.
The leaves were frozen in the ground but the sun was still so warm, that’s how it always feels when I’m with you.
Skin against skin, Skin against bones, Bones against bones, bones into rocks.
