Track Name: To the Headstone (One Year Later)
To the headstone, where the photograph shows the two of us laying there with our bones exposed.
The Calla Lillies are in full bloom again.
A reminder of how things grow and die.

My eyes have changed from blue to green. I trust to believe in a living ghost that I’ve made out of me.

And the best of friends despite the distance between.
The words and actions frayed us stitch by stitch.
One year later, the soles of my feet are cleaner than my soul.

My eyes have changed from blue to green. I trust to believe in a living ghost that I’ve made out of me.

To the cemetery walls, like gargoyles on patrol.
I am no weather drain but I am used to rain, I’ve been a vessel for every storm and as much as I reinforce those maple doors, the rain keeps getting in.

My eyes have changed from blue to green. I trust to believe in a living ghost that I’ve made out of me.

The broken tiles I’ve rearranged into a mosaic pattern. The cement that I’ve never needed to use.
Track Name: Halloween '08
Life laid out on the floor.
Pieces of a puzzle you can't ignore.
Just like any animal, sometimes you just want more.

She drags her arms along.
Love for Jack buried in her heart.
She hopes they never part but it will end before it even starts.

And now I'm inches from your door.
And now I'm melting at my core.
Slowly I begin to slur.
Throwing pumpkins from your curb.

And King Jack never stood a chance.
He couldn't even breach my stance.
His candle hasn't burnt since.
I still regret that I acted like this.

And now I'm inches from your door.
And I'm melting at my core.
Slowly I begin to slur.
Throwing pumpkins from your curb.

And there are nightmares waiting for me at the edge of your curb.
And there are monsters waiting for me at the edge of your curb.
And I am too scared to walk myself home.
And there are nightmares waiting for me at the edge of your curb.
And I am too scared to do this on my own.
No I can't do it, no I wont do it, no I can't do this without you.
Track Name: Yellow Leaves
And if all these seeds can make it then why can't I?
Just floating through the wind without a single plight.
They'll be done and buried by the morning's first light.
In a hundred years be as tall as a city sky line.

Dust goes flying as we punish this dirt road.
Headed out to nowhere as we traverse this world.
And there's a scarecrow out in lonely field with a crow perched on each of his arms as the rest of the murder destroys the corn.

Leaves are racked in piles just like last fall.
Piles set on fire filling us all with smoke.
Choke and cough the life out all the colors are gone.
They won't come back again until next fall.
A season full of death but it's still the best of all.
Track Name: November 17th
You came drifting in, one cool November evening.
You caught my breath and held it with your arms.

It’s like electric, snow in the air.
Your lips just hang there.

As you lay beside me.
I’ll watch you twitch and hum in your sleep.

Like hot water and tea, I want you to steep with me.
Stir my bones and mix with me.

As sweet as sugar, pressing into your lips. (As we dissolve)
Track Name: Zombies Ate My Girlfriend
We Were to meet for a dinner for two.
Instead I arrived to find zombies eating your insides.

And how can I sleep tonight knowing zombies have eaten you alive?

And I really wish that you could be my bride but the church don't wed walking bodies to those that are still alive.
And I'm still alive.

And how can I sleep tonight knowing zombies have eaten you alive?

And I'm still alive.

I sit by your grave every night as I wait for you to rise from the dead.
