Your Skin 03:51
I touched your bones, you touched my skin. You breathed out and I breathed in, all your words of encouragement. When you come back will you be the same girl I loved? Will I be tame? I hope for my sake. I touched your bones, you touched my skin. You breathed out and I breathed in your hair, your eyes, your words, your skin. When you come back will you be the same girl I loved? Will I be tame? I hope for my sake, I never loved a girl this. Your hair, your eyes, your words, your skin.

Hue 06:48
I do not wake up. I do not consume. I fought an angel for seven days, not prepared to lose. I will live forever, as long as print is used. Until forever becomes old news. Chorus: Bliss is momentary, oh the senses get confused. I took a bullet, I took your perfume. I took the best path, I look so new. Staring little eyes, bright and surprised. Cover up the sunspots, ask for some rain. Pills become toxic, eating at your brain. Brace yourself for impact, cause hell's gonna pay. [Chorus] Scratch out these lungs and silence your tongues. The Ferry Man needs his payment. Brace yourself for impact, cause Hell's gonna pay...

Étoiles 04:20
I laid on my back in a graveyard, staring up at the stars. Wishing on the fallen. Wishing for you to come. Then you entered my life. You came just like the sun. A lighthouse in the dark, to save me from the shards. And nothing was ever more clear that this is who we are.

I had a dream that we were machines and I was programmed to love you. There were sparks each time we touched. Kilowatts inside our hearts. Batteries that would never run dry. Forever, just you and I. I had a dream that we were paintings hanging out opposite walls. Such brilliant blues and greens were used to paint our scenes. The sky was crystal clear. No dark clouds for the rest of our years. I had a dream that there were green rolling hills as far as our eyes could see. Not another soul in sight. Just you and I for the rest of our lives. What a perfect way to spend a night. Forever, just you and I.

We cross each others streams everyday. Practicing all the things we know we should say. And you remain thoughtful and kind. And I remain quiet yet kind. And every year we grow more attached to each others bones. And when I look at you I want you to feel it in your bones. And you remain thoughtful and kind and I remain quiet yet kind. I will stay by your side. You will stay by my side. We will stay by each others sides. We cross each others streams everyday. And when I look at you I want you to feel it in your bones.

You can grab my throat. You can sink into my bones. Spend the day with you, is all I really want to do. Ride out to the moon. Through the thickest clouds that bloom. Spend the night with you, is all I really want to do. Knee deep into fireworks that will shoot us past Orion's chest. Spend the morning with you, is all I really want to do. Saturn's Moons will catch us soon.

about

This album started out as two separate projects, the first being a small collection of instrumentals which grew into more songs that weren't instrumentals. The album as a whole was inspired by winter (and the lack of one in upstate NY this year) and space/winter sky. More specifically the winter hexagon which contains Orion and some of the brightest stars outside of our solar system. All of these songs were written during winter sometime between the winter of 2008 and now. It was all recorded in my living room/bedroom between January 2012 and February 2012.
